EnergyWindow, a BTI Client, was one of 14 companies selected nationally to participate in the CALSTART Venture Forum in Pasadena. A panel of investors, entrepreneurs, consultants, and academics evaluated the business plans on the basis of market potential, economic issues (including ROI potential), competitive advantages, ability to erect barriers to competitors, strength of the management team, and the viability of the investor’s exit strategy. EnergyWindow provides, via the Internet, a business-to-business (B2B) e-commerce forum on which buyers post, and suppliers bid on, power needs in an auction format in states (26 so far) that have deregulated the electric power market.
